Julvecourt Aerodrome : ウィキペディア英語版 | Julvécourt Aerodrome
Julvécourt Aerodrome was a temporary World War I airfield in France. It was located West of Julvécourt, in the Meuse department in Lorraine in north-eastern France. ==Overview== The airfield was a temporary facility, likely consisting of no more than a few tents that was established by the I Corps Observation Group set up to support reconnaissance and observation flying during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. It was used in early November 1918, just before the Armistice with Germany. After the brief combat use, the Americans pulled out by early January 1919, and were sent to the Rhineland as part of the Third Army of Occupation, with the aerodrome was turned over to the French government. Its subsequent use is undetermined. Afterwards, it was returned to agricultural use. Today it is a series of cultivated fields located west of Julvécourt. The airfield was located to the west of the Départmental 21 (D21), with no indications of its wartime use.
